Overview
Basel Acoustics V01 loudspeaker represents the culmination of years of exploration by Sven Boenicke in developing loudspeakers capable of delivering a listening experience remarkably close to a live concert. Following its world premiere in 2024, we already know that our customers have found in this model what they had been searching for years: a combination of accuracy, tonal color, spaciousness, coherence, and authority—all delivered in a completely natural and effortless manner.
Design & Acoustic Philosophy
The V01 enclosure is crafted from carefully seasoned, multi-layer solid wood and finished with natural oil. We believe solid wood is the finest material for loudspeaker enclosures, offering unmatched acoustic performance and natural character of the sound. The premium fabrics and aluminum elements complement the design, enhancing both its aesthetics and functionality.
The tweeter used in this design is mounted in a separate enclosure on a system of carbon cables, allowing it to move freely. This results in exceptionally clean, distortion-free reproduction of the highest frequencies. The mid base woofer driver is also mounted in a specialized suspension system that minimizes vibration transfer to the cabinet, ensuring great color, precision, control, and natural sound across the entire frequency range.
